Heritage Academy hosted its 2017 Heritage Academy Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Caswell Pines Golf Course, Yanceyville, North Carolina. The four-person Captain’s Choice tournament featured spectacular weather on a challenging course. 17 teams participated.
The top three winning teams were recognized in the final standings.
The first place team of Butch Cassada, Steve Chromy, Jason Yeatts and Ramsey Yeatts won seven days of 18-Hole ANY DAY greens fees at Goodyear Golf Club and a dozen TaylorMade TP5 X golf balls for each member.
The second place team of Chad Anderson, Ed Fulton, Brad Haymes, and Kyle Hoehne won weekday greens fees to Caswell Pines Golf Club and a dozen Slazenger golf balls per member.
The third place team of Philip Clay, Chuck Easley, Drake Easley, and Rickie Rowles won four $25 gift cards to Chick-fil-A.
“It was an exciting day for our golfers, and it was an exciting day for Heritage Academy,” Ann Haymes, Heritage Academy head of school, said. “We are thankful to the golfers, sponsors, and supporters for making our 2017 tournament a great success. Heritage Academy advances as a school based on your support and the ongoing support of the community. It was a great event for the academy.”
While Heritage Academy is a tuition-based school, tuition does not cover all the funding needs for the Academy. Heritage relies on community support. The funding is used to support children’s programming, special events, and general Academy needs.
Heritage Academy had three tournament sponsors this year. Tournament sponsors included B & L Construction, Hammock Dairy and Haymes Brothers. The sponsors supported a BBQ tournament lunch and other tournament needs.
38 local businesses provided tournament hole sponsorships.
